Joonas the doppelganger denier
Joonas starts his presentation by saying that he has brought in someone who many people believe to be his doppelganger, but that he himself does not believe to be his doppelganger.
He explains that there is a show called Ensitreffit alttarilla (‘First Date at the Altar’, the Finnish adaptation of Married at First Sight), and that – at the time the studio sessions were being filmed – the most recent series had featured a “sympathetic” man named Waltteri among the bachelors.
After Waltteri’s series began airing, Joonas explains that everyone suddenly started telling him that Waltteri looked just like him, but that Joonas did not see the resemblance himself. Joonas shares that he was also called by the tabloid newspaper Iltalehti for an interview about the situation, but did not grant an interview. Iltalehti then went on to interview Waltteri, and Joonas presents the article’s headline – along with pictures of the two men – which declares the two men to have a “bewildering resemblance” to one other.
Joonas says that his sympathy for Waltteri had continued until he’d read Walterri’s response to hearing of their resemblance in the article, when he claimed not know to have known who Joonas was, until he looked him up online (Joonas is playing Waltteri’s response up a bit for laughs since, according to the actual interview, Waltteri claimed that he had been told for several years prior to his appearance on the show that he looked like Joonas, but that the first time he’d been told, he’d had to look Joonas up online; Joonas would also not have been quite as mainstream a celebrity at that point in his career).
Jaakko initially awards Joonas fourth place for denying any sort of resemblance between himself and Waltteri, and therefore technically not having brought in a doppelganger at all. However, he then (jokingly) acknowledges that the comparison has clearly caused much mental suffering for Joonas, and so doubles his points in compensation, officially awarding Joonas second place.
