Pirjo’s in-studio doppelganger

Pirjo starts her presentation by saying that she’d taken the task brief very literally, and had actually found a person who could be brought into the studio, who looks exactly like her.

She leaves her chair to escort the woman on stage, explaining that the woman had recently had a “teensy accident” which had resulted in the majority of her face being bandaged, but that she still felt able to come onto the show.

Pirjo claims that the fact that she and the woman are wearing the same dress and shoes is a complete coincidence.

She escorts the woman over to Jaakko, to formally introduce her, insisting that the woman – whose single uncovered eye does bear some resemblance to Pirjo’s, as does the curl of blonde hair sticking out of the bandages – really does look like her, but that she was currently suffering an “allergic reaction” which had caused her face to break out in pustules and painful sores.

In an effort to support her argument that her doppelganger is not “just some random person”, Pirjo shares what she claims to be an old selfie of the women. The picture is clearly a photo of Pirjo wearing a hat fashioned to look like the head of a penis. Pirjo argues that she would never wear such a hat and that the picture is therefore clearly of her doppelganger.

When Jaakko asks what the woman’s name is, Pirjo says that she does not actually know, as they do not get along well (being as similar as they are), and claims that she just calls her “Hey, you!”.

While Jaakko deliberates on points for the task, Pirjo attempts to brings up the exact wording of the task brief (i.e. that the doppelganger specifically needs to be ‘introduced’, which most of the contestants had technically not done). Joonas counters by calling Pirjo “insane”.

Jaakko awards Pirjo joint first place.
