Joonas’ lucky break

As Joonas’ attempt is shown in a short montage with Pamela’s and Pirjo’s, not much footage of his attempt is seen.

He uses his left hand to build his tower, and does not employ much strategy, simply grouping together like-sized dishes and stacking them atop each other, starting with the largest plates at the bottom and building upwards.

In footage of his attempt that does not make the edit, he tries stacking a few mugs, but they fall off, breaking off the handles. As he then re-stacks the mugs inside of one other, he muses that the absence of handles has actually made his tower-building easier, and considers his previous tower’s collapse to be lucky.

Joonas manages to incorporate all of his dishes into a self-supporting tower but, as he does not employ any sort of strategy, its height comes mainly from just the mugs stacked on top of one other.

Joonas builds a 58cm tower, and earns fourth place, but only 1 point, after Jaakko deducts a point when it is revealed that Joonas’ dishes had touched his stomach at several points.
