Pamela builds on a cracked foundation

As Pamela’s attempt is shown in a short montage with Pirjo’s and Joonas’, not much footage of her attempt is seen.

She uses her left hand to build her tower, forming a base out of the largest dishes, before alternating mugs and tiny plates to gain height. This results in one of the tiny plates in the tower cracking, and Pamela subsequently becomes more careful as she builds, aware that her tower has become structurally unsound.

When Pamela attempts to place another mug on top of her tower, it begins to tilt, at which point Pamela holds her sock-covered arm against the side of it to hold it up, and tells Pilvi that she has finished.

Pilvi refuses to measure Pamela’s tower, rightly stating that it will not be considered a tower if it is not self-supporting. Unsurprisingly, Pamela’s tower collapses when she removes her arm, and Pilvi informs her she has just two minutes remaining to build another one.

Pamela subsequently builds a 59cm tower, and earns second place, but only 3 points, after Jaakko deducts a point when it is revealed that Pamela had caught a few of her collapsing tower’s dishes with her non-socked hand.

[Note: given the height of her tower, Pamela should have earned third place anyway. It is not known why Pirjo’s taller tower was placed third instead.]
