Joonas punishes his bandmate

Joonas gathers several steel saucepans from the kitchen, as well as a few ladles to use as drumsticks, before heading out to the shed.

When he asks Pilvi how much time he has remaining, she initially says he has 12 minutes and 30 seconds before quickly correcting herself, stating that he actually has 17 minutes and 30 seconds. Joonas berates Pilvi for her mistake, saying that she has “basically one job”.

In his search of the shed, Joonas finds a long cardboard tube and plays it like a didgeridoo.

He and Pilvi then sit at the sandbox near the playhouse, where Joonas explains his idea for their duo’s name: since Ukko Nooa is a children’s song, and both he and Pilvi are of similar ages, they should be called ‘The Kasari Children’ (this is a pun: ‘kasari’ means ‘saucepan’, which make up the majority of Joonas’ ad hoc drum set, but it is also a slang term used to describe the 1980s).

For his actual performance, Joonas sings the song through the cardboard tube while playing the saucepans – including the one he has placed atop Pilvi’s head – and a single service bell, while Pilvi shakes a saucepan at a steady rhythm, providing percussion.

To finish, he hits the saucepan on top of Pilvi’s head with a particularly firm strike, possibly as punishment for her slacking on her job earlier.

Jaakko awards Joonas joint fourth place.
