Pamela’s zen rendition
Pamela searches the shed, wondering what things she can find that will make distinctive sounds.
She finds a roll of cling film, and stretches a piece of it across her mouth before blowing heavily against it, which causes a sort of buzzing, high-pitched note. She then asks Pilvi if the sound had roused any sort of emotions. However, Pilvi’s response to this question is not shown, as the footage instead cuts to showing Pirjo complaining about how the task is evoking feelings of rage within her.
Pamela searches for a saw, as she is aware that people can actually play the saw as a musical instrument. However, she is either unable to find one, or rejects the idea. Instead, she seems happy to find a small length of rubber tubing, which she blows into as she hums.
Pamela eventually relocates to the kitchen with her length of tubing and various other items she has found – a glass jar, a large glass bottle, a solid metal tube, and a copper bundt cake bowl. When she asks if Pilvi will play one of the instruments, she unenthusiastically agrees.
For her performance, Pamela slows down the song considerably. As Pilvi hums into the solid tube and pats her hand against its opening, creating a sort of droning, humming noise, Pamela clinks a whisk around the bundt cake bowl and sings the song’s lyrics, adding a few blows into the rubber tubing in between verses.
In the studio, when Jaakko asks if Pamela had been aiming for a “spiritual experience” with her performance, Pamela admits that she wasn’t quite sure what she was going for, but claims that it did end up on the spiritual side.
Jaakko awards Pamela joint fourth place.
