The task brief is attached to a public noticeboard at the end of the driveway leading to the Suurmestari mansion. The brief for the task is as follows:
Nordic walk exactly 382 steps.
You must converse cheerfully with Pilvi for the duration of the entire walk, and use five English words during the conversation.
The person who says ‘Thank you for the walking company’ nearest to the correct step count wins.
The task starts when Pilvi gets moving.
Task notes
- At the base of the noticeboard, there are two sets of walking poles.
- Nordic walking is a Finnish-origin total-body version of walking that can be done both by non-athletes as a health-promoting physical activity, and by athletes as a sport. The activity is performed with specially-designed walking poles, similar to ski poles.
- The ‘five English words’ requirement seems to be an exact requirement, as although everyone uses at least five English words during their conversations, they are penalised for not using exactly five English words.
- Pilvi is particularly uncommunicative during this task, making the ‘pleasant conversation’ requirement significantly more difficult.
