Pamela scrambles to make conversation
Pamela says “Let’s go!” in English as soon as Pilvi starts walking.
Struggling to make conversation, Pamela then says “Nice weather!” in English before musing out loud that she must have walked at least 20 steps, and then claiming that she is having a fun day.
Pamela continues to try to keep count of her steps, switching to English to say that she’s walked “maybe 40 steps”.
In desperation, Pamela again turns the conversation towards the weather, before informing Pilvi that she believes they’ve walked around 100 steps.
When Pilvi asks if Pamela typically talks about the weather and the amount of steps she’s taken whenever she goes for a walk, Pamela admits that her attempts at conversation have been “dismal”.
When Pamela – unable to keep herself from laughing – asks Pilvi if she has been berry picking recently, Pilvi replies that she’s actually never been berry picking. Pamela then ends the walk, saying “Thank you for the pleasant walking company.”
In the studio, Pamela admits that her conversation wasn’t particularly pleasant or cheerful, but says that she had actually been in a good mood during the task.
It is revealed that Pamela and Pilvi had walked 228 steps. However, it is also revealed that Pamela had used too many English words, and had not ended the task with the correct phrase.
Jaakko awards Pamela joint second place – two points.
