Anne turns Josh’s mantra into a catchphrase
Upon entering the study the first time, Anne asks if the cat is alright, and Tom Cashman points out that “He’s hanging in there”. After reading the task brief, when Tom asks Anne if she has a mantra to live by, she says “You do you… No I don’t.”
Anne decides that her mantra is “You are the field by which you can choose to plough”, which she writes on the poster, which also features some feathers she’s stuck on, and a purple scribble in the middle.
In the second part of the task, Anne is presented with Josh’s mantra of “Oink oink bitches!”. She comments that the phrase feels like it has a real attitude to it, as she fetches a toy gun.
Relocating to the outside of the house, Anne tells Tom that she’s going to give him a scenario, and then she’s going to deal with him. For the first scenario, she points the gun at Tom and yells “Where’s the money?”. When Tom tells her that he’d taken it for himself, Anne tells him to get on his knees. She tells him that there are people above her who need the money, and that they’ll shoot her, before yelling “Oink oink bitches!” and shooting Tom dead.
She then tells Tom to get back up so that they can do another scene. This time, she asks Tom where he’s been, and he initially claims “Nowhere”, before Anne reveals that she’s looked at his phone and she knows he’s been off with “Tanya”. She yells at Tom that this is the fourth time he has cheated on her, and again tells him to get down on his knees. As he pleads for his life, she yells “Oink oink bitches!” at him again, and then shoots him several times.
Anne then suggests they do another scene. This time, Anne starts off by saying “Prime Minister, congratulations.”, leading Tom to respond “Hi, Deputy”. Anne then mimes locking a door, and tells Tom that he needs to get on his knees and oink like a pig, or she’ll shoot him in the face. Tom protests but complies, making a snorting sound which she criticises as not sounding like an oink. She then shoots him again, while yelling “Oink oink bitches!”, before running away across the lawn.
In the studio, Tom Gleeson says that he loved her attempt, and comments that she had turned the mantra into a catchphrase. Referring back to the second scene, Tom then asks Lloyd “Who’s Tanya?”. Lloyd responds that she’s someone who isn’t critical about the temperature of his pasta water.
Anne earns 5 points for repeatedly shooting Tom Cashman.
