Pamela revisits her festival days

After expressing her surprise that she’s meant to drink the “whole damn pitcher”, Pamela takes it outside, explaining to Pilvi that she is about to experience “a festival-type drinking situation”.

Pamela then bends over and starts pouring the pitcher in front of her face, pursing her lips close to the stream and sucking in what liquid she can (later moving on to sticking her tongue out to try to lap it up, instead). She carefully keeps the pitcher away from her body, thus minimising the risk of being splashed.

Obviously, this strategy means that the vast majority of the contents of Pamela’s pitcher end up on the ground, rather than in her stomach, but the end result of her attempt is a pitcher that has been emptied in accordance with the rules of the task, and a dry Pamela.

In the studio, Jaakko asks Pamela if the task was actually about rinsing off her tongue, rather than drinking the liquid. He then asks if she’d actually managed to drink anything. Pamela replies that she had, but follows that up by claiming that “you can drink in many ways”, not all of which require liquid to actually enter the stomach.

Pamela completes the task in 7 minutes and 33 seconds, and is initially awarded third place. However, after Pirjo’s successful objection to Jaakko’s rankings, she is bumped up to second place.
