Pirjo breaks all sorts of rules

For the first category of ‘celebrations’, Pirjo is required to mime ‘a graduation ceremony’. More specifically, she is required to mime a ‘ylioppilasjuhlat’ (‘high school/upper secondary graduation’, a celebration that is specifically held by the family, and has no official affiliation with the school). Pirjo uses her fingers to draw a very obvious graduation cap on her head and tie it underneath her chin, before reaching her arms out as though speaking at a podium. She then starts to hum an official-sounding tune – a violation of the rules of the game – and is stopped by a laughing Pilvi, who remarks that Pirjo is “breaking all sorts of rules”. Jaakko incorrectly guesses that Pirjo is miming a “konduktöörien bileet” (‘conductor’s party’), which seems to be a joke, as that is definitely not a thing. Having broken the rules, Pirjo is likely to have had to forfeit the round, anyway.

For the second category of ‘days of the week’, Pirjo is required to mime ‘Saturday’. Pirjo mimes drinking and dancing, stopping midway through to point very obviously at Erkku (as Jaakko had previously incorrectly guessed that Erkku had been miming ‘Saturday’). Jaakko correctly guesses Pirjo’s day, and laughs that, when divorced of the context of the task, Pirjo would appear to be miming Saturday by pointing some distance away from herself. Pilvi jokes that she had been frightened that Pirjo was actually miming “Pirjo’s Tuesday”, and not a wild weekend.

For the final category of ‘colours’, Pirjo is required to mime the colour ‘red’. She initially attempts to do this by curling up her fists in anger, as though challenging Jaakko to a fight, but quickly changes tactics, instead using her hands to simulate her heart beating in her chest. Jaakko guesses correctly.

As Jaakko was only able to guess two of Pirjo’s mimes, she earns joint third place.
