Heikki displays solid reading comprehension

Heikki moves about half of the water into the empty fishbowl with the sauna ladle, before abandoning it for the foot-operated pump. However, he quickly discovers that the pump does not actually suck up water, and so returns to the ladle.

Heikki accidentally shifts one of the fishbowls with the ladle during one of his transfers.

He is the only contestant to realise that the task brief is not specifically instructing him to just move all of the water from one fishbowl to another, but that he can actually just keep moving water back and forth between the fishbowls. As such, he changes his strategy, and starts moving water from the formerly-empty fishbowl back into the initial fishbowl.

In the studio, Pilvi reveals that while all of the other contestants had moved more-or-less one fishbowl’s worth of water during the task, Heikki had moved much more, thanks to this strategy.

Despite having accidentally moved a fishbowl during his attempt, Jaakko awards Heikki first place.
