Pirjo blames gravity

Pirjo chooses to use the sauna ladle to transfer water to her empty fishbowl, and sticks with this method even after the water level has dropped to a point where it becomes ineffective.

In an attempt to get more water onto the ladle for each transfer, Pirjo pushes the ladle against the gravel at the bottom of the fishbowl, in an attempt to bend it. This causes her to accidentally move the fishbowl, though she immediately demands that this movement not be counted against her, claiming it to have been the fault of “gravity”.

Pirjo continues to use the ladle until she reaches the final dregs of the water in the first fishbowl, and then uses the snorkel to suck up as much water as she can, before spitting it into the other fishbowl.

Finally, Pirjo uses the task brief itself in an attempt to soak up the last remaining traces of water, warning Pilvi that if this strategy does not work, then it means that the production team is using paper with plastic in it, which is “bad stuff”.

After everyone’s attempts have been shown, Pilvi reveals that Pirjo had been given an extra line in her task brief, requiring her to give Jaakko a new pet name after each transfer. Pirjo appears to focus on the “pet” part of the brief, as the names she comes up with that aren’t outright nonsense are hybrids of words one might use with an actual pet, combined with Jaakko’s actual nickname of ‘Jaska’. Pirjo’s nicknames for Jaakko are as follows (approximate English equivalents provided in parentheses, where possible):

  • Halimussuhöpsy (‘Huggy-silly-buns’)
  • Pupukissamussu (‘Bunny-kitty-buns’)
  • Jasumussu (‘Jasu-buns’)
  • Jaskupusku (‘Jasku-pushy’)
  • Jasupissu (‘Jasu-whizzy’)
  • Nunnunannun
  • Suurmestarihupsukka (‘Taskmaster-snookums’)
  • Suurmestarihapsukka (‘Taskmaster-goofkums’)
  • Suurmestarisupsukka (‘Taskmaster-tookums’)
  • Jaskajapsukka (‘Jaska-japekums’)
  • Jaskahömpsykkä (‘Jaska-sillykums’)
  • Saariluomansupsukka (‘Saariluoma-snookums’)
  • Hipsukka (‘Shnookums’)
  • Jaskanlupsukka (‘Jaska-jookums’)
  • Jaskanhimpsukka (‘Jaska-smollkums’)
  • Jaskanvimpsikka (‘Jaska-gookums’)
  • Jaskanvimikka (‘Jaska-gizmokums’)
  • Jaskanjälläkkä (‘Jaska-leekums’)
  • Jaskanhintsikka (‘Jaska-smookums’)
  • Jaskanjäntsäkkä (‘Jaska-eekums’)
  • Jaskanjatsakka (‘Jaska-jazzette’)
  • Jaskanviitsikka (‘Jaska-quintette’)
  • Lullakka (‘Lulla-buns’)
  • Janna-Jaska [Janna is an actual name]
  • Jubatsuba
  • Jaskanjallallalla

In the studio, when Jaakko presses Pirjo on her assertion that gravity had moved the bowl (according to Pilvi, this actually happened multiple times), Pirjo (jokingly) claims that as an older house, the mansion was sinking into the ground, which was what had caused the bowls to move. Joonas suggests that Pirjo’s claim about gravity would make for an excellent T-shirt.

After the footage of Pirjo’s extra instruction – and her subsequent nicknames – is shown, Pilvi reveals that Pirjo had come up with 33 different pet names for Jaakko, “of which 12 were of the ‘snookums’, ‘goofkums’, and ‘jookums’ variety”.

As everyone moves more or less the same amount of water, Jaakko’s scoring is instead based mostly on the number of mistakes made during the task. As Pirjo moved the fishbowls multiple times, she earns last place. However, Jaakko also awards her 2 bonus points for the pet names.
