Hayley’s meet-cute recreation

Hayley ponders what the best moment of her life is, sarcastically suggesting it was when she met her fiancé, before stating that she hates women like that. However, after Paul says that one of the best moments of his life was meeting Hayley’s fiancé, she decides to go with it anyway.
She explains that she had been at a drama school meeting when her now fiancé, Aaron Cortesi, walked in. She notes that he is 6’ 6” tall, and that her initial reaction to seeing him was a gasp, which had prompted her friend to laugh at her, before Hayley told her friend “That’s mine.”
For her recreation, Hayley is seen on the lawn, doing some vocal exercises before her big King Lear scene.
The double doors of the house then open, and Paul emerges through them, accompanied by dramatic rock music. Paul is wearing a big black wig and dark glasses, and has blocks attached to his feet to make him taller. Hayley stops her warm-up, points to Paul, and simply says “Mine.”
Paul then removes his glasses and, in an American accent, coolly says “I wish someone would come and smoke a cigarette with me out on the smokers’ steps.” With a cigarette in her mouth, Hayley tells Paul she will. She then looks to the side and says, “He’s a big boy. That’s a big boy.”
In the studio, Jeremy comments on how Hayley had gone from hating women who say that their greatest moment was meeting their fiancé to just re-enacting it with Paul. Hayley responds that she felt terrible for her initial comment, because “love is lovely”. She also notes that because Paul was “fizzed” over Hayley’s fiancé, too, she thought they could create a fantasy for both of them.
Hayley earns 3 points.
