Ben improvises a narrative

After reading the task brief, Ben asks “The right order for what?”. He asks if the shoe and bread are one item, and states that it’s a “bit odd” that the manila folder is labelled ‘Property of Paul’.
Ben begins by placing the items in alphabetical order, naming the folder as “Paul’s pervert folder”. He then tries a different order based on an improvised narrative; the shoe and bread represent someone walking to get some bread; the fork represents them eating the bread; the chocolate bar represents their dessert; the Venus fly trap is something they see on the way home; and the plate of soil has something to do with how the plant eats (which Paul suggests is setting up a sequel narrative).
Ben then tries ordering the items by size, before resorting to randomly swapping items around. Finally, he picks up the chocolate bar with the fork and says he’s giving up and is just going to enjoy himself for 20 seconds by eating the chocolate.
In the studio, Ben admits that he is also still completely bamboozled by the task, before claiming that he doesn’t want any points and that the task was “dumb”. After watching Tom and Abby’s successful attempts at the task, he admits to feeling really dumb. After watching Tofiga’s attempt, Ben joins Matt and Hayley in arguing that the task should be stricken from the records.
Ben does not complete the task, and so earns no points.
