Hayley performs impressions while Ben builds a tower

Ben quickly decides that Hayley should perform the impressions, since she’d completed an acting degree.

First, the team requests box 7, upon which is written “The knife from Psycho”. Hayley starts making a creaking noise while holding her hand up above her head as if poised to stab, pointing to it with her other hand. Ben gets that she’s conveying Psycho and a knife, but initially guesses “Alfred Hitchcock”. After Hayley asks Ben what she is holding, he says “a knife”, and Hayley then leads him to the correct answer by saying “…from…”.

In footage of their attempt which does not make the edit, the team acquire four more large boxes, and Ben has used them to create a large and stable base for their tower.

They next choose box 2, which has “The Ghost of Christmas Future” written on it. Hayley starts doing some ghostly “OoOOooOOooh”s and then says “Merry Christmas”, prompting Ben to guess “Ebeneezer Scrooge”, and then “the Ghost of Christmas Past”, before Hayley guides him to the correct answer by saying “Not the past but the…” and gesturing in the opposite direction.

Next, the team requests box 52, which has ‘Queen Elizabeth I’ written on it. After Hayley puts on a posh English accent while waving, Ben guesses “Queen Elizabeth II”, before guessing the correct answer after a gesture from Hayley.

Ben has by this point built a pretty straight and stable tower with the boxes.

After acquiring another box in unseen footage, the team requests box 9, which has ‘Orville Wright’ written on it. After Hayley talks about being brothers and the first to fly, while stretching out her arms and impersonating an aeroplane, Ben guesses “the Wright Brothers” and then specifically “Orville”.

They next request box 34, which has ‘Meryl Streep; written on it. Hayley puts on a posh American drawl, saying “Why is everybody taking so long? Please!”, and then also performs a separate impression of the actor in Sophie’s Choice, pretending to hold some children while screaming about not wanting to have to choose, which leads Ben to the correct answer.

After requesting box 42, which has ‘Renee Zellweger’ written on it, Hayley puts on an American accent, says that she’s an American actress, and pulls an expression which she describes as someone who’s sucked on a lemon. Ben knows exactly who she’s referring to, and remembers that she was in Jerry Maguire, Bridget Jones, and “The one about the Civil War” (Cold Mountain), but struggles a while to remember her name.

As their tower starts to get quite tall, the wind blows some of its foundations out, but Ben manages to hold most of the tower up while Hayley retrieves some of the boxes for him, and he is able to rebuild it well.

After choosing box 28, which is labelled with ‘Urzila Carlson’, Hayley puts on a South African accent and pretends to hold a microphone while saying “Right, what’s the deal with, like, crazy people these days?”. Ben is able to quickly identify her, and then successfully throws the small box on top of their rather tall tower without knocking anything off.

After requesting box 21, an egg carton with ‘David Attenborough’ written on it, Hayley puts on a raspy British voice while talking about eagles, and Ben quickly arrives at the correct answer.

They then ask for the box which has ‘Dame Julie Andrews’ written on it, and Ben is able to correctly identify her from Hayley’s performance of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

Ben also correctly identifies box 53’s ‘The Green M&M’ from Hayley crouching down and stating that she’s a chocolate button, and also ‘William Shakespeare’ from Hayley talking about writing plays and using the word “doth”. At this point, Ben has constructed a tall and stable tower with a wide base.

Finally, Hayley is able to convey ‘Elvis Presley’ to Ben by singing Blue Suede Shoes, and Ben adds another egg carton to their tower just before etheir time runs out.

The team’s tower is measured at 287cm, which earns them 5 points.
