Tom breaks up with a crocodile

For his drink, Tom opts to use a conical flask full of what Paul describes it as “A mysterious green liquid”, which he finds on a bookshelf.

Tom also finds a toy lizard on the shelf, and asks Paul if there is a phrase about “kissing one of these guys?”, to which Paul responds that his mum used to say “Kiss a croc, avoid the dock”.

As the New Year begins, Tom shouts “Happy New Year!”, and then performs the worm dance. He then takes a sip of the mysterious green liquid, stating that he has no idea what it is. He then picks up the toy lizard and says “Happy New Year, Cassandra”, before giving it a kiss.

In the studio, when Jeremy comments that Tom had gone straight for the mysterious green liquid, Tom claims that he hasn’t been the same since.

Tom’s New Year’s resolution is to end his relationship with ‘Cassandra the Croc’. Tom sits at the desk, with Cassandra on the desk in front of him, and begins by saying to her, “I think you know what I’m gonna say.” He goes on to say that he can’t see whatever their relationship is going any further, then claiming “It’s not you, it’s me”, and wishing her all the best, before gently stroking her head.

As he gets up to leave, he says “That was much harder than I thought it was gonna be, Paul”.

In the studio, Jeremy observes that it had been quite an intense break-up with Cassandra, considering they had only been together for 5 minutes.

Jeremy decides that he is certain Tom will go back to Cassandra at some point, so Tom earns 3 points.
