Tom runs with his error in intonation

Tom’s film begins with Paul answering the telephone, and we hear garbled speech. The shot then cuts to Tom on the other end of the phone, and a countdown begins.
Tom runs down the stairs breathing heavily, and is then attacked by a giant crab who says “I’m gonna kill you!”. Next he is seen running across the lawn, glancing behind him at the camera and saying “Oh God”, while huffing and puffing.
Tom next has a sword fight with Paul, and can clearly be heard saying “Shing! Shing! Shing!” as the sound of the swords hitting each other. Tom then stabs Paul with his sword, making squelching noises and imitating choking. He then says “I did it!”, and runs off.
In the study, Tom discovers a bomb, with the timer counting down from 10 seconds. There’s a ticking sound as Tom deliberates over whether to cut the red wire or the blue wire. He then cuts the red wire, and we see a globe shake and then explode. A skull then appears on screen, and the voice-over and titles say “We Are Butt Men”.
In the studio, when Jeremy questions the intonation on Tom’s final line, Tom admits that his original line was “We are but men”, but he’d put the stress in the wrong place, and had then decided to run with it after it made Paul and the crew laugh.
Hayley says she’d initially thought that the task was unfair, because Tom is a film-maker who has been to the Cannes film festival, but, having seen his creation, she now feels alright. Paul claims that Tom’s film got a 45-minute standing ovation at Cannes.
Jeremy awards Tom 3 points.
