The initial task brief is presented within a silent movie featuring Paul, which the contestants watch in the study. The second task brief is attached to a microphone in the study. The briefs for the task are as follows:

Task notes
- For the first part of the task, Paul is seated at the desk in the study, eating popcorn, and watching a silent movie which is being projected onto a screen.
- For the second part of the task, Paul is seated in the same position but is wearing headphones. The projector has again been set up on the desk so that the contestants can watch their films while they provide the audio.
