Ben haunts Paul with his own future

Ben reads Paul’s bedtime routine, sniggering at the ‘Respect the Taskmaster’ step. He also reads Paul’s diary, which tells him what Paul is scared of.

Paul enters the room and begins his bedtime routine. After washing his face, and drying it with a towel, he notices that his fingers have gone slightly red.

When Paul goes over to ‘respect the Taskmaster’, he finds that the photo in the frame has been swapped out with one of Ben Hurley.

As Paul is about to start reading in bed, Ben bursts out of the wardrobe, dressed in Paul’s Taskmaster assistant’s outfit, saying “Hi Paul, I’m you.”

When Ben instructs Paul to complete all of the things he’d ever wanted to do with his life in the next 45 minutes, Paul says that he just wants to go to bed, prompting Ben to respond “Wasting it, once again”.

In the studio, Jeremy say he can’t imagine anything scarier than going to sleep with a picture of Ben Hurley besides the bed. When he then checks with Ben whether the scary thing was that Paul would eventually turn into him, Ben nods, unconvincingly. Paul then says he’d be “stoked” if he grew up to be Ben.

Ben earns just 1 point.
