Hayley ties Paul to the bed

As Hayley walks towards the bed to investigate, something makes her jump. She turns round to realise that it was just the door closing behind her.

Hayley hides underneath the bed and waits until Paul is sat in the bed reading, before shouting, in a distorted voice, “I cast a freezing spell on you”. Paul ignores this, and then turns the light out and lies down.

Hayley then throws a teddy bear attached to a rope from one side of the bed to the other, so she can tie Paul down.

When Hayley then begins to gently move the bed across the floor, Paul says he doesn’t know how she is doing it, but he also notes that the bed is not super sturdy, so she should probably stop, if she is lying underneath it. In her distorted voice, Hayley responds “Who says I’m not in the wardrobe?”, before suggesting that he goes and takes a look. When Paul points out that she has tied him to the bed, she slowly unties him.

When Paul goes over to the wardrobe and looks inside it, Hayley pushes the bed further along the floor, and then sits up straight and screams. She then asks Paul if he was scared, and he admits that it was genuinely scary.

In the studio, Jeremy says “If all else fails, just scream at the top of your lungs in the dark”. Hayley explains that she had rigged a Bluetooth speaker up in the wardrobe with the intention of using it to scare Paul, but it had lost its connection.

Jeremy describes Hayley’s technique for tying Paul to the bed as “expert”, and Hayley shares that she was a teenage witch, and so she knows how to spook people.

Hayley earns 5 points.
