Aaron demonstrates his firm handshake

After asking Tom Cashman about the contents of the washing-up bowl, Aaron finds the calendar and flips through it, commenting on the pictures.
Announcing that he’ll start in January, Aaron shakes hands with the first glove and correctly guessing that it contains jam, pointing to the relevant calendar image.
For the second glove, he incorrectly guesses that it contains just hundreds and thousands. He follows with correct guesses of chocolate bars, and then apples. He squeezes the fifth glove too hard, causing the contents to spill out, but correctly identifies that it is mayonnaise by the smell. Looking at the June calendar image, he deduces that the sixth glove contains jeans, and also correctly identifies the presence of a button inside.
He again squeezes too hard on the next glove, dislodging it from the stand, but correctly identifies that it contains jelly. When Tom gets the hairdryer out, Aaron initially flinches but then correctly guesses that the glove contains air.
Using the calendar again, Aaron correctly identifies that the next glove contains soap. For the tenth glove, he incorrectly guesses that the contents are shells. Seeing that Tom is wearing a cowboy hat in the next calendar image, he guesses that the glove contains “bits of hat”. Finally, he correctly identifies the contents of the last glove as dice, and then tosses the calendar back into the washing-up bowl.
In the studio, Tom Gleeson praises Aaron’s performance, and asks the rest of the contestants what they’d thought the bowl was there for. After Concetta admits that she’d just thought it was a prop, Aaron claims that he’d had a splash around in it
After it is confirmed that Aaron’s spillages were allowed since they weren’t deliberate, Tom Gleeson asks Aaron whether he has a particularly strong handshake. Although Aaron claims that says it’s all about confidence, Tom says he imagines that Aaron’s handshake would only feel firm “if your hand was made of mayo”.
Aaron completes the task with nine-and-a-half correct answers and wins the task, earning 5 points.
