Tim fails smarter, not harder
After an initially unsuccessful attempt with the raw eggs, Tim realises that he might stand a better chance if they were boiled.
While waiting for the water to boil, he then realises that there may be an even better way. He cuts a slit in a pink tennis ball and pushes one of the eggs inside, giving it a good protective shield.
Covering the slit with duct tape, Tim returns to the mini golf course.
Taking no chances, he takes off his tracksuit jacket and lays it below the lip of the ramp on the ‘J’ hole to cushion the egg’s impact further.
Back in the studio, Alex reports that Tim took 39 shots over 10 minutes using 3 eggs, giving him a total score of 1,200 (or 1,170, if the time reported was accurate).
Tim, feeling quite pleased with his neat solution to protecting the egg, is somewhat taken aback by the fact that this puts him in third place.
Alex points out that this is likely because he had trouble getting the tennis ball into the golf holes, since it was bigger than the eggs.
