Mehdi's gin apology

Mehdi initially thinks the decibel meter is a microphone, and speaks directly into it.

The first thing he does is try to open a bottle of champagne, the cork pop from which unsurprisingly exceeds the 60db limit.

He also exceeds the limit when pouring juice into a glass, and by accidentally scraping a knife against the ice bucket (within which he was at that point making his cocktail), after peeling a lemon.

He passes the limit again when replacing a heavy decanter of spirit on the cart.

There are numerous further infringements in rapid succession.

He opens a cocktail umbrella inside his own mouth in order to mute any noise, and then attempts to light a sparkler facing away from Antoine, but still exceeds the limit.

He eventually completes his cocktail, which he names 'Gin suis désolé' (which sounds like the 'Je suis désolé!' ['I am sorry!'] phrase he had been forced to yell numerous times during the task).

His finished cocktail is just gin, garnished with lemon rind and a cherry, which Antoine describes as "strong".

Fortunately, Antoine is keen on strong alcohol, so when instructed by Louis to choose second place based on his own taste preference, Mehdi wins out.
