Jon’s novelty cookbook and bag of sweets

When Jon asks if he can spend more than just the £20, Alex says “That would be nice”, but then Jon continues “…or less?”. He then shares that he and Greg were supposed to socialise recently, but Greg had cancelled due to work, so he thinks he might Greg a diary so he can plan better and not let people down at the last minute.

In the studio, Greg immediately addresses Jon’s comments, confirming that they were going to watch the darts together but that he’d genuinely had to work instead. After stating that he’d written to Jon to apologise, but Jon hadn’t replied, Greg states that he is glad he isn’t “hanging around with passive-aggressive people”.

Jon’s actual gift for Greg is a cookbook full of recipes of food featured in various movies. Because this had only cost him £12.99, Jon also brings Greg a bag containing 701 penny sweets.

Greg states that he doesn’t like the cookbook, as he just doesn’t like that sort of “novelty bullshit”, but he says that Jon had “pulled it back” with the sweets.

However, Jon is ultimately awarded last place.
