Romesh questions the integrity of the pies

Romesh first attempts to deduce the contents of the pies through smell.

He then inspects the bottom of one of the pies and is able to see, through a small gap where the bottom of the pie was removed for filling, that it contains marbles.

He adopts a similar approach to deduce that one of the pies contains frozen peas.

Inspecting the base of a third pie, and finding that the bottom had not been removed, he determines that it is a more typical pie filling, and guesses steak and kidney.

Back in the studio, Roisin tries to make the argument that Romesh had ‘breached’ the pies with his eyes by looking through the gap in the pastry in their bases.

Tim backs her up on this, but Greg directs their attention back to further video footage for an example of a real breach.

As Romesh handles the toothpaste pie, the base drops out, clearly revealing its contents.

However, he is only able to determine the true nature of the filling by smelling it.

Back in the studio, Romesh angrily defends the event, stating that he did not personally breach the pie, and that it wasn’t his fault if the pie did not have sufficient structural integrity.

It seems that Romesh was penalised in his placement for this task for the accidental breach, as he appeared to be doing so well, but placed third overall, below Roisin.
