Nina lets the cat out of the bag

Nina identifies that she is able to peer into the bags without opening them, by getting down on the grass.

By happening to begin looking in the general vicinity of the correct bag, she is thus able to very quickly find the cat while only opening two bags.

She feels so good about her quick solution that she decides she might win the entire series, and makes a bet of A$50 with Tom Cashman to that effect.

She earns second place in the task.
