Luke tries to get someone to end his phone call

Luke calls his mum, but doesn't appear to have a smart strategy for getting her to end the call, since he just starts a regular conversation with her.

His weak attempts to end the conversation by giving short answers and indicating he doesn't want to keep her are an absolute failure, as she keeps introducing new topics of conversation to keep the call going.

She eventually ends the call after exactly 20 minutes.

In the studio, Tom Cashman reveals that the rambling conversation had covered 34 topics, including the share market, the weather, Wendy Harmer (Australian writer, presenter, and comedian), what Luke wanted for his birthday, and the previous year's Optus privacy breach (in which 10 million customers of the telecommunications company had personal data stolen).

Despite the long phone call, Luke earns fourth place, as Danielle is disqualified.
