Nina has magnet blindness

Nina first opens the present containing the jigsaw, and then opens the one containing jelly.

The third one she unwraps is the one containing sand. She then extracts the phone from within the jelly.

Upon finding that the fourth box is locked with a combination lock, she comes to the conclusion that she needs to solve the jigsaw puzzle, in order to find the code. However, she admits that what she really wants to do is just smash the box open with brute force.

Despite the urge to give up on the puzzle, she manages to solve the part of it instructing her to 'look under' something, and decides to look under the Christmas tree, which had been moved under the table at some point.

Climbing under the table to inspect the tree, she completely ignores the magnet stuck to the underside of the table. She is briefly curious about why there is a GoPro stuck to the underside of the table, pointing at the magnet, but merely waves at the camera and says "Hello!".

She realises that she had jumped to conclusions about what she needed to 'look under' but, instead of finishing the rest of the puzzle, in order to receive the whole clue, just starts checking underneath everything else in the room.

She eventually asks Tom whether it is under him, perhaps on the bottom of his shoe, before realising that he could be hiding something under his elf hat.

After asking for permission to take off his hat, and Tom stating that he'd rather she didn't, she does so anyway, jumping up and snatching it from his head, and finding the golden present.

She performs a completely made up carol with the lyrics "Merry Christmas Tom! Merry Christmas everyone, and have a good year!" before unwrapping the present and finding the blue stress ball.

In the studio, Tom Cashman reveals that Nina completed the task in 38 minutes and 17 seconds, earning third place.
