Mae's buoyant block

Here's a description of the contestant's attempt. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to illustrate it.

Mae orders polystyrene, "plastic inflatable water wings" (armbands), "precious tape", paper, and a paper clip. They are given some very large chunks of polystyrene, so cut off a smaller cube of it, and then wedge this into one of the armbands. The egg sits in a depression they've created in the top of the polystyrene. In the boat race itself, Mae's boat takes an early lead, but then appears to get caught up on the bank of the stream after colliding with Ivo's boat, and ends up crossing the finishing line last, after 3 minutes and 25 seconds. However, after Frankie is disqualified, Mae moves up into fourth place.
