Amir appeals to the audience's sympathy

Amir tries to appeal to the audience’s sympathy by claiming that his eye doctor had told him he was missing 20 points to go and have surgery in Germany. He says that if the audience give him 5 points, he could fix the eye problem he’d mentioned during the prize task. At the end of his allotted time, he also compliments both the audience and his fellow competitors. He receives 20% of the vote, and ends up in third place.
