Tim fails to boil an egg
As Tim’s attempt is introduced, Greg proclaims ‘Ah! The poet and the egg.’, thus coining the title for the episode.
Tim begins his attempt by fashioning some sort of origami boat, for some reason.
He then decides that he should boil the egg, to make it harder to break.
While the egg is cooking, he fashions a long, thin tube from the green paper on the table, using his saliva as adhesive.
He then adds a small conical paper cup to the end of the tube, to hold the egg.
As his time rapidly runs down, Tim takes his paper egg-staff outside, collecting his partially-cooked egg from the kitchen along the way.
In the last 30 seconds, he attempts to hold the egg aloft on its paper staff, but the paper cone falls out of the end, and the egg breaks open on the driveway, revealing just how undercooked it is.
In the final desperate moments of the task, Tim attempts to scoop up the almost raw egg and hold it aloft again, with little success.
