Frank fails to protect his egg

Close-up image of Frank Skinner’s broken egg, in its ineffective paper shroud.

Like Roisin, Frank identifies that the egg doesn’t have to stay at the height it reaches. Unlike Roisin, he identifies that some measures will need to be taken to protect the egg on its descent.

Frank’s approach is to wrap the egg in several layers of paper to help absorb any impact.

With almost 10 minutes remaining on the clock, he steps out onto the lawn and throws his wrapped egg high up into the air.

Frank’s egg is measured to have reached 8m, but he fails to catch it, falling over in the process, and the egg bounces off of him and hits the ground.

Unfortunately for Frank, the egg’s protective paper shielding fails to cushion its impact with the ground, and was probably actually a hindrance to the egg’s naturally protective design.
