Kathrine sorts by volume

Kathrine actually eats one of the sweets before reading the task, but does not seem to worry whether this might affect her score.

She examines the dishes to figure out a system, and introduces herself as a nurse named Berit, when Mark rings his bell.

She slides the coloured mats out from under each smaller dish, and simply uses each as a scoop to transfer sweets from the larger bowl.

After she fills all six dishes with mixed-colour sweets and says “I have sorted correctly”, Mark asks Kathrine what her sorting method is.

Kathrine explains that, from her left to her right, the dishes start with fewest chocolates, and end up with the most.

The dishes do in fact appear to contain progressively more sweets, as one looks down the line.

As she leaves the room, Kathrine steals the large bowl of remaining chocolates.

Her time is not revealed, but she earns second place.
