Task brief
The task brief is found sticking out of the top of a large glass bowl of mixed colourful sweets, on the table in the lab. The brief for the task is as follows:
Sort these chocolate buttons correctly.
When Mark rings the bell, you must stop, shake his hand, and introduce yourself with a new name and a new profession.
Once you have sorted the chocolate buttons correctly, you must say 'I have sorted correctly'.
Fastest correct sorting wins.
Your time starts now.
Task notes
- Also on the table, there are six empty, smaller, lidded glass dishes, each stood on a circular mat of a different colour, corresponding with the colours of the sweets.
- Mark is stood nearby, next to a service bell on top of a plinth.
- The task is an adaptation of a task first used in Kongen Befaler, but has an added multi-tasking element to it, clearly inspired by the ‘Build a can tower & greet the Taskmaster’s assistant from a different country every 10 seconds’ task, which appeared in the first season of Stormester.
- Despite the presence of the word ‘correctly’ in the task brief, the sorting is considered correct as long as it corresponds to whatever rules the contestant has decided (size, colour, number, etc.).
- In the studio, Mark clarifies that he’d consistently rung the bell every 30 seconds, for each contestant.
