Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Amir sorts the Non Stops directly into the colour-coded bowls, singing while he works. He completes the task in just over 14 minutes, and earns second place.
  • Einar is colourblind, but still makes an attempt to sort the Non Stops by colour. Unsurprisingly, he ends up with some red sweets mixed in with the greens, and some greens mixed in with the browns. Eventually, he decides to just give up, and so leaves the room with a handful of Non Stops as a snack. He earns last place, and his protests about the task being unfair because of his colour blindness flal on deaf ears, with it being pointed out that nothing in the task brief said they had to be sorted by colour.
  • Ida sorts the Non Stops by colour on the table, before depositing them into the colour-coded bowls. She seems to do well, but it is then revealed that she had dropped a few of the sweets on the floor, during the process, which weren’t then sorted into the bowls. She earns third place.
  • Steinar contemplates what other ways their might be to sort the Non Stops by, other than colour, but fails to think of anything else. He starts out by collecting all of the yellow sweets together, but then abandons the plan for something quicker: he just distributes the mixed sweets somewhat evenly between the six glass bowls, claiming that this counts as sorting them. Atle doesn’t accept his solution, though, and awards him fourth place.
  • Solveig starts off trying to sort the Non Stops by colour, but then realises she could sort by size. She therefore puts all of the sweets back into the original dish together, as they are all the same size. She argues that she would obviously have separated out any bigger ones into their own dish, had there been any. She completes the task in 1 minute and 56 seconds, and earns first place.
