Calle tries to cry

Calle begins by poking his eyes and then, like all the other contestants, begins to chop onions.

He sticks his entire face into a plate full of chopped onions, which stings, but doesn’t provoke tears.

Like some other contestants, he also escalates to tiger balm, and this produces his first visible tear.

He then moves back to onions, now squeezing onion juice directly into one of his eyes.

While chopping more onions, he then bites a dried chili pepper in half, which causes him to cough, but not cry.

At one point, he appears to be sobbing, but he then puts down the cup and reveals that he's just acting.

When Olli states that there are five minutes left, he returns to his ‘weeping’.

While he appears to be in distress throughout his attempt, Calle only manages to squeeze out two and a half tears. However, this is still good enough to earn him second place.
