Jacob moves Mark around
Jacob reads the task brief, and then asks for the definition of ‘Mark’s room’.
In the room, there is a nameplate that reads ‘Mark’.
Jacob moves this nameplate to the outside of the door of Mark’s room, and thus declares that the foyer is now Mark’s room instead.
He looks around the foyer for some measuring tape, before realising that it might be in the study.
He therefore moves the ‘Mark’ nameplate once again, making the study Mark’s room.
Jacob finds a protractor in the study and then, by constantly moving the nameplate wherever he likes, moves through each of Mark’s rooms in order to measure the length of yarn, wherever it lies.
He runs out of time before being able to measure all of the yarn, so quickly guesses that there is 41.2 metres of yarn altogether.
Jacob earns fourth place.
