Mel tunnels to Spain
Mel decides to dig a hole directly through the centre of the planet and visit Spain.
Using a spade, she mimes digging a hole behind a bush, in front of the caravan. She then jumps down behind the bush, appearing to disappear down into her hole.
She is then seen pretending to climb up out of the other end of her tunnel (though she’s actually climbing up out of a dip next to the path in the woods at the back of the house).
Looking around, she wonders out loud whether she has made it to Spain, and then spots Paul nearby, wearing a big moustache and standing next to the flag of Spain. Paul greets her in Spanish with “¡Ay caramba! Hola Melanie. Bienvenido a España.”
Mel says she is glad that she successfully reached Spain, but decides to return to New Zealand by jumping back down into her hole.
Unfortunately, there is not enough cover this time to sell the illusion that she has done anything but drop down to the ground, and parts of her bright red costume can still be seen poking up.
She earns joint second place.
