Mel’s mini gorilla-themed horror movie
Mel chooses a small gorilla statue and, when she re-enters the room with it, she is genuinely startled to find Paul dressed as a ghost.
Having read the second task brief, she states that she is glad that she at least has a character she can use.
Mel’s movie begins in the study which, as Mel explains in the opening scene, is an antiques shop.
Paul plays the part of the mysterious antiques dealer. After Mel asks if she can buy the gorilla statue from him, he picks it up off the shelf and spends a ridiculous amount of time blowing ‘dust’ off of it.
He tells her that the item is free, but warns her that there is also “a price”. Mel says that doesn’t make any sense, but takes the gorilla from him.
Having taken the item home, she places it down on the kitchen worktop and, as she leaves the room, it turns round on its own to watch her. It is then seen appearing in the mirror behind her, while she is cleaning her teeth.
Mel then wakes up in bed to find the gorilla on her bedside table. As she tries to escape, it chases after and attacks her.
She manages to fight it off, and then goes out into the woods to bury it. However, as she leaves the scene, the reanimated gorilla re-emerges from the ground.
The title for the movie is then revealed as “MELANIE BRACEWELL’S KING WRONG”.
In the studio, Jeremy states that it was the best acting he’d ever seen Paul do, and Dai comments that he’s never seen someone “blow a gorilla for so long”.
Jeremy judges that Mel’s movie is worthy of cinema release, so he awards her 5 points.
