Mel cuts off her own hand

Mel is seen walking through the path in the wooded area with her left hand spouse.

The pair are talking about how good it is that they’ve sorted out their differences, and that they’d taken out a life insurance policy, and it is also noted just how nice and secluded the forest is.

They come across a table along the path, which has a knife, an axe, and a saw upon it. Mel picks up the saw with her non-married hand and screams “Die you cheating bastard!”, and her hand spouse cries out in disbelief.

Mel then starts sawing her hand off, spilling lots of blood everywhere (consisting of red string and red paint), which splatters onto their wedding picture and covers Mel herself.

A mannequin hand then falls onto the ground, and Mel is seen to now have only one hand.

She tries sticking up her middle finger towards the dead hand, before realising she no longer has a hand on that arm, and switching to the other instead.

In the studio, she points out that the task brief had specified ‘messiest’ break-up, so she’d felt that “there had to be blood” (thus coining the episode title).

She earns 3 points.
