Hadi plays the long game

In the studio, Hadi admits that he’d often found the tasks difficult, as he worried about what Lasse would appreciate. He specifically references the autographed vegetable task from episode 5, and says that he realised that perhaps he was not the only person who’d had trouble with that particular task. This leads him to wonder if he could actually reveal something surprising about one of his fellow competitors.

Hadi then shows some footage secretly taken of Jesper Ole arriving at someone’s apartment to collect the autographed Obama book he had used in his attempt.

Hadi calls this book sale “the easiest 500 kroner” he’d ever earned.

Lasse expresses his disbelief at the revelation, as Jesper had claimed to have bought that book online, but Hadi counters by rhetorically asking how many Barack Obama autographs he thought might be found on Den Blå Avis (Danish eBay).

Hadi reveals that he had himself forged Obama’s autograph on the book, and listed it on Den Blå Avis, in hopes that it would lure one of the other contestants to buy it as their solution for the autograph task, and that Jesper had been the one who took the bait.

Hadi also points out that it was particularly infuriating, then, that Jesper’s autograph had subsequently received more points than Hadi’s own solution to the autograph task, and that it had therefore been difficult to keep the secret afterwards.

Lasse awards Hadi first place for his well-planned sting.
