Kathrine’s double surprise

Kathrine films herself in the mirror. She says that she’s uncertain about actually revealing her surprise, but that she really wants the five points.

She says that she feels nauseous, but is still determined to show the public her “do-it-yourself project”. She then turns to the side and lifts up her sweatshirt to reveal a very distinct bump.

In the studio, Kathrine brings out a large black balloon and says that she wants to do the reveal then and there (implying a gender reveal), admitting that she already knows the balloon’s contents, but that they’ll be surprising to everyone else.

She hands a pin to Mark, who pops the balloon and sends cheese puffs and popcorn scattering across the stage.

Kathrine reveals that it was always a snack baby in her stomach, and that she is not actually pregnant.

Lasse awards Kathrine second place, and admits that he’d been fooled into thinking that she was genuinely pregnant (likely helped by the fact that Kathrine has been wearing fairly loose clothing throughout all of the studio records, and compounded by Petra’s own surprise pregnancy announcement earlier in the season).
