Sam makes a deadly projectile
After sourcing a few long poles, a long plank of wood, and many rolls of masking tape off-camera, Sam asks Alex if there are any nails left (this question suggests that this task may have been filmed after the ‘Make a cheeky picture using nails and wire’ task).
Sam successfully sources nails from somewhere, and tapes several of them to a golf ball, creating a deadly projectile. He then tapes two long poles together, and uses them to poke his nail ball through the end of a tube, directly onto the balloon. Although the nail ball falls directly on top of the balloon, it does not pop.
Sam adjusts his technique, taping the nail ball onto the end of his poles, and trying to directly stab the balloon with it instead. However, this ends up just knocking the balloon out of the bell of the French horn.
With his time running out, Sam decides to just throw the balloon and hope for the best. He places his nail ball on the ground and tosses the balloon in its general direction, then starts running in the opposite direction.
Although the balloon misses the nail ball, it still bursts when it hits the ground.
Sam bursts the balloon from 564 aspirins’ distance, and earns second place.
