Kevin and his assistant “Anton”

When he picks up the task brief, Kevin shows Antoine the seal and suggests that the initials stand for ‘Michael Jordan’. When Antoine asks if Kevin knows what his name is, Kevin replies that it’s “Anton”. Despite the fact that Kevin does not actually say Antoine’s actual name, Antoine starts the timer anyway.

Kevin secures the reel of string under the table, and starts pulling the string towards himself from across the room, claiming to have seen this technique in “strong man competitions”. Antoine rhetorically asks what kind of strong man competitions Kevin has been watching.

When he finishes unwinding the string after three minutes, Kevin is left with a tangled mess. When Antoine refuses to stop the timer, Kevin re-reads the task brief, then turns it over, spotting the additional instructions on the back.

Kevin uses Antoine to help him re-roll the string; as Kevin unknots the mess, Antoine turns the reel in his hands, rolling up the untangled string.

Eventually recognising it as a lost cause, Kevin forms his knotted string into a relatively neat ball and places it on the cushion.

Kevin completes the task in 7 minutes, and earns joint third place.
