Stian’s “Fena Stratocaster”

Coming up with the idea of making an edible electric guitar, Stian begins with a leg of lamb (‘fenalår’) for his base.

He staples dried pieces of spaghetti to it, to serve as the pick-ups, and adds a few grapes to one end to represent the bridge.

The strings and strap are made of long strands of black liquorice.

Unable to resist the pun, Stian then dubs his instrument the “Fena Stratocaster” (which Atle appreciates in the studio), after its base food and the Fender Stratocaster electric guitar.

Having read the second task brief, Stian mimes playing his Fena Stratocaster well, but he is very obviously producing its sound with his own voice.

Realising that it doesn’t function well enough as a musical instrument for him to win on that basis, he exclaims that he can’t possibly eat an entire leg of lamb in three minutes.

He then expresses his disappointment to Olli, arguing that he had taken pride in his craftsmanship, while he suspects the others would have just made drums and hit them with bananas.

Stian earns joint last place.
