Annika and Sofie perform a modern-day Vinterbyøster

When introducing Annika and Sofie’s attempt in the studio, Mark makes sure to really hammer home the fact that the teams had as much time as they wanted, to plan their attempts, as long as they didn’t look at one another.

While Annika immediately turns away from Sofie, after reading the task brief, Sofie looks directly at Annika’s back for two or three seconds before turning away. When Mark informs them that their time has already started, the two begin to panic.

The footage of their brainstorming session is not shown – we only see them coming up with their final idea.

Sofie proposes that the two simultaneously make phone calls, and then read from the same script together. Annika agrees, and wonders out loud if they both know someone with the same name.

As Annika writes a script, Sofie starts thinking of the names of people she knows who might answer her call. After asking Annika if she knows a Bjarne or a Mette, she suggests Kathrine, and Annika says that she does know someone with that name.

It is not known who Annika calls, but Sofie likely calls her best friend (and season 7 contestant) Kathrine Abrahamsen.

As the pair sit side-by-side and wait for their respective Kathrines to answer their calls, Sofie whispers to Annika that she should hold her hand out, like the artist’s mannequins on the desk.

Both women then leave the following message on voicemail:

Hey, Kathrine. It’s Sofie-Annika. Now I’ll say something. Don’t call back. Are you feeling well? We’re well. We’re talking in sync. Oh, we have it so good. Mark is here, too. He’s sitting here. Bye, friend. Talk to you soon.

Annika and Sofie then slowly lower their phones from their ears and end their calls, before slowly turning to one other and high-fiving several times.

In the studio, Annika and Sofie are clearly embarrassed, and Lasse jokingly asks how it feels to “fail as a group”.

Victor likens Annika and Sofie’s attempt to Vinterbyøster, a Danish Christmas television series from 1973 which starred very stiff puppets.

Lasse ultimately awards 4 points each to Annika and Sofie.
