Leo creates a sewing fez

Leo initially wonders if a flag could be considered clothing, under the lens of the task, as a flag can become clothing once it’s been sewn. He then flips the idea, wondering if clothing that is cut into a flag could still be considered clothing.

Leo abandons his thought experiments on flags, though, and instead repurposes a small red fabric lampshade as a hat, which he attaches to his head using a length of gold beads.

He claims that his hat is meant to be used when sewing, displaying its utility by storing a pair of sewing scissors in it, as well as sticking a sewing needle into it.

In the studio, Leo explains the “logical” progression of his sewing hat idea, claiming to have been inspired by the designer, influencer, and season 3 contestant Jenny Skavlan (whom he describes as the “Jesus of fashion”). He says he added the beads because he had recently been listening to rap duo Karpe Diem’s album SAS Pussy, which features an image of a pearl necklace on its cover.

Atle admits a particular fondness for Leo’s sewing fez, and awards it third place.
