Julian plays the dead friend card
Julian brings in an urn that he claims contains the ashes of a friend of his. The urn (it’s actually a vase) is perhaps an unusual choice for holding cremains, being bright yellow with black spots.
When turned around, it’s revealed that the front has a large sneering mouth on it, with the word ‘SHIT’ written on the teeth.
Julian explains that while on tour in Norwich, he spotted the urn while window-shopping and subsequently purchased it, and his friend had died just a week later. He also claims that his friend’s favourite word was ‘shit’, and that Taskmaster had been his favourite programme, so Julian thought he would enjoy being on the show.
After grumbling that Julian’s prize will clearly win, Greg admits that he finds it impressive that Julian is able to move him with an urn reading ‘SHIT.’
Sure enough, Greg ultimately awards Julian first place.
