Episode 10: Always forks and marbles
Episode synopsis
In this series finale, the contestants must: bring in the thing that is most shocking, when turned around; do something shocking with a doughnut; create an effective, high-intensity four-part exercise routine; run the Taskmaster Hotel; and throw a ball into a bathtub already full of balls.
In this episode, Sam – who has worn nothing but grey in the studio for the previous nine episodes – is dressed in bright orange, and wearing a bleached blonde wig. He explains this dramatic change away with the throw-away comment “It was all a bit grey.” His contestant portrait on the scoreboard has also been updated, accordingly.
Title context
During the ‘Run the Taskmaster Hotel’ task, Alex Horne (as the character ‘Qrs Tuvwxyz’) is chatting to Sue in the ‘spa area’ about the subject of his upcoming meeting, and states: “It's forks and marbles, always forks and marbles”. This explains the bizarre nature of the contents of his suitcase, during the task.
Alternate Titles
- On Norway's Discovery+ Norge streaming platform, this episode is titled 'Alltid gafler og klinkekuler', which translates as 'Always forks and marbles'. Note: this Norwegian translation of the title only appears in the subtitles for the episode, whereas the episode title listed on the platform is the original English title.
